Here is a pic of the reticles-

I used the big circle mostly, but at 100 yards its bigger than the target.
I tried the chevron croshair a few times but was way off.... I see now I was using the cross bar as aim point instead of the dot- no wonder I shot low!
The tiny dot was too hard to see.
I see a lot I did wrong at the range now. Next time I'll go in late afternoon, perhaps the sun will not interfere.

Edit: I shot high and low sometimes when switching reticles.....I did use top of chevron and was way off, then switched to the cross bar.... and during all this switching is when I got my up/down -left/right directions mixed up..... I see now most of my issues were me being too goofy to know what I was doing.
It will be right next time.

Try using the point of the chevron, your eye will naturally focus on the point!

Can you bring the brightness adjustment up further to see the dots / lines better or are you maxed out?

If maxed out he can try a card stock sunshade if that helps, it is easy to purchase/modify, or just make one out of Kydex!

I was thinking I had brightness maxed out...this thing has an auto brightness and a manual adjustment.
I intend to go late next time.

Even in the bright sun, I can use the big red circle and get on target. I see a lot I did wrong. I will do better next time.
