Dove season is almost here!!! Seeing a lot of birds this year!!!

Bout time to check the Hunting knifes and sharpen the broadheads.

I really need to move one of my buddy stands across the creek... sure need a couple elevated stands and another hub blind, and another chair blind, the grandkids just tore mine up the other day!!!

I really hope to stick a Turkey this year!!! Last two opening mornings I've missed!!!

Can't wait! !!!!!

My favorite stand and the view .... I really wish my land owner grew wheat.
I get to watch deer every time I'm in this stand. They come out of the woods in the bottom left corner first, the woods are over 600 yards.

The wife is scared up there!!! It is high and leans out over the bottom.

PS, the stand had a really nice padded backrest until a squirrel made a nest in it.
I snuck up it so Quietly one opening morning I didn't even wake it up until I sat on it!!!!!!

Wow. Looks expensive. Very cool. I wonder how it does on a sunny day...as in will it reflect light? It looks like a bunch of mirrors.

Yeah its expensive polypropylene mirrors, the sides are leaning out so it reflects the ground around it.

Think it would be it for my 40 acre hay meadow, also got a section that's mostly grass.

Got the new Simmons prosport rifle shotgun 4×32 scope mounted! !!
Tried the TC muzzle loading scope from Walmart last year, it didn't work at all!

Think I'm gonna try a lighter load this year. Been shooting the hornady 350gr flex tip with a 110grs of 777 powder cause I bought like 16 packs off the clearance rank at wallyworld.

Our cva staghorn shoots really good with a 240gr Sabot with 90grs

Got it bore sighted... didn't have to adjust it, it should be on the paper, but its like looking through a pipe!!!


Think ill wait until its a little cooler to sight in with Sabots.

who is taking a youth hunting?

You know I will!!! took her deer and dove hunting last year. She had begged to go for a couple years.

Year before last they were living with us, one after noon she was begging!!! I tried to bribe her by telling her, grandma will take you to Clare's, it didn't work...

I was so proud of her!!! She sat in the blind with me until dark!!! She always remembered to wispier quietly! !! But she did wispier the whole time!!!

My best buddy Bubba is ready to go after he eats all the goodies grandma packed us!!! If I don't put the pack in the back he will eat it all on the way!!! I never make the little Guy set to long, when he's ready we leave.

Sis is gonna be a hardcore hunter... and she loves to fish!!!
