Hello Mr. Rat,Took her out of her sock and took her out today.
Had never fired it using the sights, I took the mount and scope off and put it on another rifle.
I also tried a rifle load, they had some thump... the sights were dead on!!!
Really want to take her out hunting... but I don't really like taking her outside. She was unfired when I got her, but she didn't make it home that way...
You know I think you just wasn't fast enough or sneaky enough to make a clean get away there !!!The sil and I was heading out to the river, the wife hollers "you ain't taking my rifle!!!"
Ron, I be from the Bible belt........I rest my case.Somehow I never figured you were the holy type........bob
It's ok bob we understandRat?? Toney.. old and feeble I guess.
Is 44 a big cal for a rifle?
So it was made in 1894? or model 1894? That would appear to be a big slug with not much powder. What was it used for do you know? I would seem to be under powered for a rifle. Man hunter maybe? Its a pistil caliber carbine. A model 1894.
Its got a big hole in the barrel but It is still a pistol round.
Really the 30-30 is a better deer rifle.
