THIS forum is getting boring with just us 3 or 4 P380 onwers on here hogging this site.

Now u guys need to get off your butts and start beating the bushes. Those P380 are out there , very scarce indeed but they can be found.

I just hate to come on here and post and post how good and everything is with my P380 when u guys don't have one. Makes me feel like I'm rubbing it in (and I am to).

Now we need to have a new P380 owner also to come on here and start bitching about his P380, finish, shoots low and to the left etc, trigger tooooo looooong, Recoil unbearable, should be double stack, Kinda miss that stuff that we see so much on other gun forums.

Just could it be that this P380 is good to go out of the box, Could it be that this P380 is dead nuts accurate. Could it be that the trigger is loooong but oh so smooth. could it be that this P380 just feels so good in ones hands. Could it be that recoil in the P380 is totally pleasant.Could it be that the P380 is a quality gun....

ONLY US 3 OR 4 p380 OWNERS can tell u that.. ;D ;D ;D

Hey, you guys are not boring me!! So what if I don't have a P380 yet. I've had lots of other 380's and know what you're talking about in your range reports. Just makes me ready to do a complete test when I get mine and hope I see much the same results. Then, slowly, as more get the pistol a real good data base will emerge.
So keep up the discussions and continue to report everything. That way I'll know better what to look for.
Cheers,

So we need controversy eh? I'll bite.

Why would anyone want a P380 anyway? Its just an expensive mouse gun. The Ruger or KT will do the exact same thing and I can buy like 2 of each for the price of 1 Kahr. You dont need a slide lock, sights, or polygonal rifling for a belly gun, so honestly none of you need to buy one.

(Now I hope I can discourage some of you from buying one and move myself up the buyer's list)

keep trying ;D ;D I didn't need one either. have a lcp, owned at one time 3 kt's (no more of them though) and carry my PM9 24/7 but when I seen gun at the louisville NRA convention a year ago februrary, I knew then I had to have one for no other reason just to have one. It eaks in quallity above the two mentioned guns. Now they probalby will go bang also with ease, every gun should do that or it ain't a gun, but one can shoot this P380 for 200 rounds and not feel any finger pinch or recoil that wants to break something. This is a very pleasant designed gun and it shoots better (for me) than either of my kt or lcp. No, I really don't see any reason to buy one either, but I do see ALOT of reason to buy one..

I think part of the lack of participation is this software. It's really bad. It's hard to navagate. I'd suggest V Bulletin or PHP. I really haven't seen any other forums using this software before
I actually really agree, Vbulletin is by far the nicest, but it costs money. PHPBB is a good free alternative and is much easier to navigate then this forum.

right now, it seems no issue to navigate on this forum, very few posters. I don;'t ever see it going into the thousands either. I just get comfortable with a way a forum runs and then they change things, (for the better) and it screws me all up. they are doing that AGAIN on the ar15 forum. they call it progress ??? ???

thanks, jocko,
all the more reason I appreciate this forum. Folks like you making it free for old geeks like me. Retired and no pay raise in 15 years so I really appreciate anything free I can get. Like this site which is a pretty good job, IMO, that you guys have done who have started it.
Keep up the good work. Maybe in a few months as the P380 shows up this site will increase. After all, it's the only independent P380 site there is. Some discussion on GT but not dedicated like this site.
Cheers,

I do not appreciate being called a troll. I did not start this thread complaining about the site being boring. I was offering an honest opinion after someone else brought the topic up.. I realize V Bulletin is not free, but there are other options that are. The software this site uses is not easy to follow.

I'm not hear to beat this drum. This is not my mantra to come here and insult the site. I only planned to say it 1x - but I am following up one someone calling me a troll. I was just throwing that out there. But, now I'm being attacked for it.

Nice going.

Notice that I threw out an opinion. I did not do any personal attacks as you did. Who is the troll? Why have you turned this thread into a personal attack?

Participation has virtually nothing to do with the software (and we are always willing to revisit ways to improve) but primarily to the fact that there are very few P380s in circulation, i.e. few owners = few posters. As more guns get in people's hands, interest and participation will increease proportionately, witness our sister site, the LCP fourm. Nothing is laid in stone and I expect tweaks in site format will occurr. In the meantime, if the P380 is your principal interest, this is a great place to stop by periodically to see what's new - and to learn. Provide good info and "they will come." Substance before beauty. Nevertheless, we will try and improve both aesthetics and functionality for the benefit of all.

O.K. Guys. Mine should be back from Kahr by the middle of next week. They will hopefully correct what I suspect is an extractor problem. I'll rush it to the range and post results. I know there are only a few of us but this will change. Your advice when I was having problems with my P380 was very helpful. Hang in there.
