general cleaning procedures

In looking around the forum, I never see a mention of using compressed air for gun cleaning. I used to rebuild a lot of engines in my younger days and always made it a point to blow out every hole, passage, nook and cranny I could find, and then blow them out in the opposite direction just to be sure everything was clean. Is compressed air not good for guns?

Using compressed air isn't a problem if you use a OSHA approved low pressure blow gun and an inline moisture separator and always wear eye protection.
