Has anyone else had issuses with Magguts?

After reading what seemed to be overwhelmingly great reviews regarding Magguts I thought I might as well try 'em so I got a pair. These are the newer ones that are one piece, not including the follower of course. So, after making sure they were installed properly I tried out both magazines. I had one stove pipe and two or three ftf. So, just to be extra sure they were right I removed and reinstalled them. Now I see why some have had trouble getting a 7th round in, that little block joining the two springs has to seat properly in the coiled one, guess I got lucky the first time. Anyway, I tried them out again and had about the same results. Put stock springs back in and no problems. Anyone else have issues with these or am I the just the lucky one. Lol

I haven't had any reliability problems, but I was not able to shove an extra round into the magazine with the mag guts in it.
Never tried magguts...thought about it a few times though.......
Been using Magguts +1's here for years with no issues, both on 6 round and 7 round mags for a PM9.
I have nose dive issues on my cw380. I have the 6rd and 7rd mag gut extensions. I have tried the following ammo and profiles

Federal hydra shock deep 99gr - nose dives and extremely tight in the chamber

Standard ball reloads 100gr rnbp - nose dives, bullet setback after chambering

Underwood extreme penetrator 68gr #2 "drill bit" bullet profile - multiple failure to fires, i think underwood uses harder primers IMO. Bullet set

hornandy critical defence 90gr htp ballistic tip HP - failure to feed, nose dives, and bullet set back after chambering

Colt defender - solid copper hollow point nose dives, fails to go into battery

creedmoor -hollow point with a hornandy ftx style bullet with no ballistic tip inside

after loading more than 5rds in the 6rd magazine with the magguts or the standard follower the bullets begin to tilt upward and even walk out of the mag while inserted.

trying to determine if my issues are feed ramp or mag related.

Did all those cycle okay in that mag before you added the magguts?
If you didn't try them before-then remove the magguts and put original spring, follower, base back in mag. If that works- then the issue is the magguts. If it don't work???- then look at the lip opening in your mag-may be too wide, or too narrow?
Another thing- you are using a very compact gun. There is not near as much "wiggle room" in it compared to say a CW9.
Also that is a wide variety of ammo you are trying to use- you may get there sooner if you concentrate on 1 bullet weight and brand.

i have not tried all of those with the factory springs and follower. After the factory springs wouldn't run 100gr fmj fine and 1 or 2 brands of hollows. I switched to the mag guts thinking that would help. The angle of the bullet in the magazine sits at the exact same angle as the factory follower and springs for both 6 & 7rd mags.
I have considered buying new magazines and seeing if that could be the issue. I know kahr made follower upgrades from the circular dot on the follower to the rectangle to engage the slide lock. My factory followers have the circular slide catch.
the feed lips look to be fine
Last night i ran 15 rounds of the 99gr federal hydra shock deep through the cw380 and on the first round in the 7rd mag (8rd with guts) it nose dived upon using the slide lock to charge it as kahr reccomends. I pulled the slide back and slapped the mag and it still didnt enter, then i locked it back, slapped the mag, hit slide lock and it fired. About round 5 i had a failure to feed that was the tip of the round fed straight into the feed ramp of the barrel. I slapped the bottom of the mag and it charged. Fired the rest fine. Then i did the 6rd mag (7rd with guts) and that went fine until round 4 when it didnt go into battery so i slapped the bottom of the mag and finished out the mag fine.
the federal deep fired POA & POI from 30' and ejected fine, but my striker left drag marks on the primers from 3 recovered cases. Before i shot i stripped the slide and cleaned out the striker and ejector channel as well.
i'm to the point where i'm comfortable carrying this gun because i can clear the dam malfunctions so well i'm not worried about it!
The best ammo i have found to use is the Hornandy critical defence with the FTX ballistic tip. The reason i've tried all those other options is i didn't come across the hornandy until recently.
next brand i try may be the fort scott 380 tui. I'm on a mission to find what feeds reliably.
I will have to purchase a new mag to see if that does the trick.

Having similar results when shooting any ammo with a truncated cone nose. Round nose or rounded nose hollow points work fine. Pmc Starfire nose dive and a 95 gr HP from Everglades in my handloads do the same. 88gr Remington HP and Remington 102 gr golden saber work fine. Can't figure out what is going wrong or right. Only seems to be issue with the 2nd or 3rd round out of the magazine. First loads fine and last 3 fine.
Well- I did order magguts for my CT 380. Easy installation....but poor results. Fired 4 mags (32 rounds) Fed AE 95 gr fmj and had at least 2 fail to feed with each batch. I removed the magguts. Don't need that. 😕

When I first got my CW380 I loaded up both of my mags with 6 rounds and let them set for a couple weeks. At the same time I pulled back the slide and locked gun open. Let it set for a couple days. Everything functions fine except it doesn't like truncated cone shaped rounds. Use Remington 88gr hp and 102 gr Golden Saber. No issues. Use 95 gr poly coated lead for practice. They function fine also. Only issue is after shooting a couple mags of the Golden Saber in the gun my thumb hurts from the recoil. I guess I will save them for my CCP M2+.

I have unloaded and reloaded my
Magazines a hundred times since my first post and i have been using fiocci 380 90gr jhp 975fps with easy ignite primers and have had 0 issues as of lately. I have ran 1 box of 50 through so far. I had to dispatch a racoon that was living in my engine compartment of my truck and that seemed to do the trick. Worth noting it did not penetrate through (no exit wound) the racoons abdomen upper abdomen though. It was a big boy. The mag guts springs need to be broken in. Unloading and reloading the magazines over and over will heat up the metal causing them to be broken in.
