My Thompson/Kahr 1911 is having a slide issue at times....when you place a full mag into the well and release the slide, sometimes it does not go into full battery and I have to help it by pushing with my thumb on the rear of the slide. Now here's the weird part, it doesn't seem to do it with HP rounds...
I thought maybe someone did a "ramp" job on it and over-polished it but it doesn't appear so. So then I swapped out the mag's for some of my Colt's. Still does it.
So, gimme your thoughts...:banghead:

My first thought would be the recoil spring.
If it has always done it your extractor could be to tight.

I would think the same thing as toney........I had the same issue with one of my 1911's, and it was a weak recoil spring. But an extractor that is set to tight can cause the same issue......

You started this on plate #5 trouble maker. Shake the nuts around a bit then leave the room.

Isn't that how it works.................you get a can of nuts and keep shaking it, and picking out the good ones.............finally you get to the last few bad nuts left at the bottom of the can...................... :D
