Just Got Back

I just got back from shooting my fresh back from the factory P380. Let me give you the background and then the happy ending. ;D

On my first trip out with the gun, it would not fully cycle. I tried two different brands of ammo, but the gun would stop just short of fully locked up. I would have to use the thumb of my shooting hand to push the slide the last 1/8" of travel. It would do this 3 or 4 times per magazine.

It was requested that the pistol be returned to the factory for service. I got it back last week, but have not had the chance to try it again until today.

I ran a partial box of PMC fmj, partial box of Fiocchi Extremea HPs, and a full box of Rem fmjs through it. I had some burps and hiccups with the PMC and Fiocchis. The whole box of Rem fmjs were flawless. I still need to run another 100 through it, but I'm really encouraged by the improvement in reliability from the first mag through the last mag today. I think whatever was bothering the gun has been resolved. I'm happy.

I have not had the chance to read through everyone's reports yet, but I will do it. Did anyone else shoot the gun more accurately with one hand vs. a two handed hold? For me, slow fire group size shrank dramatically with a one hand hold. Very contrary to my results with other small and large guns.

I'm exceptionally pleased with accuracy out to 45 feet. The little tiny sights work well for me and all rounds went to point of aim as long as I did my part. No high or low, left or right bias was experienced. I'll need to try a head to head test vs. the PM9, but I think my accuracy was similar with both.

After a bit of a rough start, I'm starting to like this little guy again.

Things really started to smooth out for me after 100 rounds. Now after 500+ rounds throught it, it's smoother than the mirror finish of the hubble space telescope...

I think some people panic to soon on a new gun . Other than a revolver, I do feel every semi needs rounds down range to ether get "right" or to know for sure one has a true issue. 100 rounds really doesn't do the trick IMO.
I totally agree unless it is light striking.
