K40 Is Sweet !!

Finally got back to the range and finished breaking in my K40. This is one sweet shooting gun, just a bit snappy as most 40 s&w guns are. Accuracy and control was excellent, just love that smooth trigger. I had 2 ftf's at about 160 round count, at which point the gun was kind of dirty. The S&B ammo wasn't the cleanest I've shot. The next 50 rounds of American Eagle ran flawless. Towards the end of shooting 200 rounds I could feel the guns action smoothing out. I also had the front sight replaced with a Meprolight tritium night sight, that I got from Kahr's website, as I will carry this gun from time to time.

I picked up a "new to me" K40 Covert the past week-end. I think I'm in love. My Covert has a nice weight and it feels good in my hands.

The steel frame Kahrs are built very solid, I like the feel and heft they have. Definitely helps in the recoil department. They are still compact, but not good for pocket carry due to the weight. I go IWB at 3 o'clock and don't even notice its there anymore. Good choice of weapon as you don't see many of the steel frames around, and good luck...........
