Kahr IWB

Im guessing that many of you who own a Kahr and carry, use the pocket style of carry. For myself and my MK9 & K40, IWB at 3 oclock works best. They are the all steel Kahrs, and weight factor aside from size lends itself to this style well. I use a DeSantis Cozy Partner holster, and find it to be very comfortable all day. I have become so used to it, that I almost forget its there. The Cozy Partner holster is very good quality for a ready made off the shelf deal. It has a nice FBI cant, and draw as well as reholstering is easy. It also holds the weapon close to my side and conceals it well. If you pocket carry, do you use a holster to secure your gun and cover the trigger for safety. Or what other style of carry do you use....................Post some pics and let us know what holster you choose to use.

I have bought/studied/ and I have made my own holsters for my SW 642, Kahr CW9, and my 45's-pattern them after the fine samples from some of the top custom holster makers. My IWB for my Kahr CW9 is at a slightly greater angle (18 -19 deg) to conceal better. It seems that the top edge of the magazine can print (very slightly)with lesser angles (my opinion, my experience) wearing at 3:30-4:00 position. I have experimented with higher/lower inside the pants, etc. As strange as it seems my Para slim hawg 45 dissapears completely at 17 deg with same depth in/at waist band. The CW9 is a fine carry gun, and I rely on it. Getting older I realize the smooth DAO feature could be a plus in a high adreneline situation. Not to say anything negative of the SA autos-just my opinion, and training with ONE gun is the key to safety and reliable use in time of need-my belief.

I agree with your line of thinking. I love my 45's, but they have had trigger jobs. And a SA trigger with a crisp 4lb pull with no creep, in a high stress situation is a potential for disaster. So I use them for target shooting, which is what I had them set up for. My Kahr MK9 & K40 are my carry guns, and their DAO triggers are perfect for me, for that purpose.
