New P9

Just got my P9 (full size, not PM9) and put 100 rounds through it. From the first shots, it was shooting to the factory sights. I was shooting 115 Gr. RN SP custom loads with excellent grouping.

I want to change out the factory sights to XS night sights. Does anyone here have experience with XS Big or Normal Dot sights on a Kahr? How do you compare them to Trajicon 3 dots?

I got um on my PM9, I love them but you won't shoot them as good as the sites you have on now or the Trijican sites. that big dot covers alot, by design to, it is a defensive fast acquisistion site and at 15 yards and beyond, it will cover more than you like. Great sites, if you accept them for what they were designed for..

The P9 is one awesome gun, u done good..
Got it............!

Big XS "Gulf-ball" front sight is out of question.....i was thinking more in line with "Smaller" front sight. I practice only close range, like 8 and 12 yards........so the idea is to DRAW-POINT-FIRE
FAST.....and hit the TARGET EVERY TIME........right...?
I have the tritium nite sights on my PM9 and IMHO they are much superior to the stock sights. I'm more accurate with the pm9 than my p380. I'll replace the stock sights on the p380 as soon as Kahr stocks them.

that is what the big dot was designed for, close up shooting. when you draw that gun that front site will be the first thing you will see and it will be fast. you won't have to hunt for it. For close up at the range you stated, I would think the Big dot would ge the way to go. I sure like um for um close shooting..
I just bought a P9 Saturday at a small gun show. The old man told me he couldnt rack the slide. Told me to make an offer. I bought the P9 and six hundred rounds of ammo for $450. I think I got a good buy. It shoots good and is alot more accurate than me.
Welcome, and kudos on a great gun and the deal you got !!
