I hook my thumb in the trigger and use my index finger to push the slid back, might have to bump it a few times for the guide rod to start through. Then I use the other hand to align the marks

I am having trouble getting the slide back on the gun. It seems the guide rod doesn't easily go into the hole at the muzzle and this stops the slide from going back far enough to put the pin in. Any body have an idea what I am doing wrong. I usually get it finally after lots of frustration?

That's one very good way to do it, or you can basically use the same grip Toney is showing at the back end of the gun. Push forward with thumb while pulling back with fingers.
