My CM9 is a great gun and I enjoy and trust it. Today I loaded in a Kahr magazine qty8 Zombie bullets. I pulled the Slide back as per instructions and tried and tried to release the slide lock and therefore be loaded to go. I could not make the slide release...release. I pulled the slide back manually and let go and that worked.

History: 400 rounds thru the gun with no problems, never used Zombie bullets before though.

I wonder if the blunt fwd end of shell with the packing is causing this hand-up? Also concerned that after firing the in the barrel Zombie bullet will the action allow the next Zombie bullet to enter the barrel?
Yes, I know the recommended answer to this question is to load up and shoot. I won't be to the range for a while and rather than wait I wondered if others had this happen and what their experiences were.

Usually a slap on the mag will make one finish feeding.
Mine has hung up chambering but never shooting, most of the time I blame myself, being a lefty I have to slingshot one or change my grip so I can use my trigger finger.

I didn't think of slapping the mag. Thanks for the info. Shooting those slugs are expensive but I need to anyway to feel comfortable next time.
