I took my cw380 apart today. Reassembled it and racked the slide several times. Pulling the trigger revealed a different sound than usual. I see that the striker is cocked about half way and won't go forward no matter what I do. Any cures before I call K ? Thanks

Thinking about it, if you can't get the striker forward the cover will probably be a pain to slide off.

I would almost bet the tip has broke off and is sideways blocking the channel.

If it was mine, I would wiggle the striker back and forth to see what happened. Then I would probe the firing pin hole with a paper clip while messing with the striker.

Spent some time probing and in general fiddling around to no avail. You're right it will be difficult to get the plunger back enough to get the cover off. Since the gun is 3 months old is it better to let Kahr handle it or do I risk damaging the spring and plunger getting the cover off? I've sprayed Rem Oil down through the clean out hole and firing pin hole it comes out clean so I don't think there is dirt in there. Watching videos there really isn't much in there that can cause a problem unless the pin or guide fractured.

Being a new conceal carry person, I've probably put 600-800 rounds through it working on improving skills. I love the gun and was actually thinking about splurging and picking up a p380 so I have one as a 'range gun' (also own an M&P 9) and one I can use primarily as carry.

Called Kahr yesterday and went to voice mail...no call back.. Don't know what the weather situation is there maybe they were out. ...frustrating.

I decided to try and remove the cover. It was surprisingly easy. The photos show what I found. Just as you thought Toney, a broken striker! I wonder if Kahr will send me a warranty replacement? I have a question though. The last photo is looking down the striker channel. There is metal protrusion at the end. Is that supposed to be there? It's not loose.
Thanks for all help!

Don't know where that would normally be. I'm talking about the "bulge" like thing at the 12-1 o'clock position of the channel. It is all the way down at the bottom of the channel. I probed it with a paper click and it doesn't move, so I thought I'd ask about it.
