Morning...been out in the heat spraying for ants...no other plans except for a possible gar session depending on the heat...

Nice promo...would have been a nice win...I did manage to get in a gar session with an Oliva Serie V Churchill while watching a ballgame on my laptop...temp was 99 deg. F actual + the heat index...trying to get climatized to the heat for my ballgames tomorrow...

Morning...more successful ant patrols...resting up for the ballgames this evening in the heat...

Morning...been fairly peaceful past couple days. One gk returns tomorrow thru Fri. Not much trouble.
Agatha went to taker her poor brother to Dr....she called a little later and said she had to stop for a large bear in the road! She was in Saraland (north Mobile)- they see a few up there on occasion. I have seen a few up near where she was, but never seen one down here on the southern end of Mobile.
Think we might go out and watch Top Gun when Agatha gets back- she wants to see it. Guess I'll go with her. I don't care for it. I like Star Wars. I started to say I like the fantasy stuff more....but it's really ALL fantasy I guess?

Morning.....will head out shortly to get the older granddaughter. Need to stop by the grocery store also.
Did go watch Top Gun yesterday. Was advised to go to the matinee -as it would not be crowded. Bingo!. Haven't been to a movie in a couple years or more. Well...it was good. The volume was jacked up- gee whiz..L-O-U-D! ....... but we were able to choose our seats at the kiosk and....we got the senior discount. It was just over $12 for both of us. The movie was intense. I recommend it.
Man the violence is ticking up out there everywhere. Folks are going batschidt. We are dodging downtown and the Mall area completely. Don't know what it will take to make America calm again. A new president will probably help. Hope we can turn this crap around soon. Out in the county all is pretty good. About the only violence we see is an occasional car wreck. Play it safe folks....

Morning...plan to make a grocery run later then maybe get in a gar session...yep, definitely plan on a matinee time to see Top Gun Maverick once the crowd thins out a little more...renewed my 10 year carry permit & waiting to see how long it takes to process...

Morning...nothing planned...eliminated a black widow & several brown recluse spiders late last night around the patio after a gar session & while doing an update on the old laptop that took a long time.- change of pace from doing ants & moles...

Morning....got up late, didn't sleep well. Was gonna try and make a trip out to Academy and pick up some ammo- but I missed the window. May try again Monday. Don't know what she might have planned today....guess I'll find out soon.
Well we vote again Tuesday. Have a couple run-offs that need to be settled. Not an issue- polling place is like a 3 minute drive away in a low traffic area. That is always good.
Our covid numbers have jumped up again. We finally hit bottom of the curve about April 18 with a daily average of about 111 new cases state-wide. Now just 2 months later- we have increased X 10 to about 1221 per day as of June 15. Hope this crap turns around. Of course nothing like back in Janurary- and I can find no recent info on death numbers. So I'm thinking most all cases are mild. Hope it just goes away.
No other news here- just a long heat wave. Expecting 100+ about half of the next 10 days. Thank God for A/C!

Good afternoon….. worked an early shift today….. then stopped by Dicks sporting goods to pick up a life jacket for kayaking….. geez those things are kind of expensive, $100 for a nice one…. I’ve got a paddle coming from Amazon….. all I need now is an electric air pump….. no hand pumping for this old guy…..
