Hah!- this was yesterday, guess i forgot to hit the post button?
Anyway- same old stuff- a little rain. I have #2 g/k bu myself this morning- Agatha is visiting with her bro. Fortunately his wife finally decided to take family leave so she can help tend to him. I guess that Agatha and her sister showing up each day kinda got her to thinking better. He has "home health service" but it is just about worthless. Poor fellow- I really feel for him.
Anyway- did my pet scan late yesterday. Gosh...it was rough! Wasn't expecting that. Pounding head, couldn't get enough air, and actually felt like i was having a heart attack. Geepers- they sent me home and said someone wold contact me. Whoa....well it's done now. Don't care to do that again.
Okay- that's enough bs for today.....yall dodge the rain.........
Will go pick up #2 g/k shortly.....I believe Tuesday will be the last day. All the rest are in school.
I'll get my pet scan this afternoon....hopefully they find something that is easy to fix. Not really fond of those radical repair jobs. Gotta spend the rest of the day trying not to eat anything...and that's difficult for me. I am a grazer- I walk through the kitchen...and I always see 4 or 5 things I want to put in my mouth.
Morning...well, yesterday I did mow & trim the yard while the wife helped water the plants until I had to take over later then shocked the hot tub during a gar session...triple digit heat forecasted for today & tomorrow so plan to rest up for my games tomorrow...
Morning......well I didn't hit the jackpot- but Agatha's sister did fairly well. But she got a text from a cousin while we were on our way home- she was in a casino in Mississippi- she hit one for $8k. Some folks have all the luck.
Oh well......the largest hit I have ever done was near $4 hundred.
I have learned that casinos are for entertainment purposes- definitely not something to INVEST in - at least from the player's standpoint.
Okay- have the day to myself. Agatha is sitting with her brother....and I am all by myself. Might ride out to Academy and look around or over to Bass Pro Shop. Might just pop some corn and turn on a Star Wars movie?
Morning.....thank God we have missed most of that 100+ stuff. We did have about 10 days in a row of it about a month or so ago. But usually July and August are our hot months here- and we've only seen a couple of 99 this month. Will be happy when it's over.
Think I might run out and look for ammo today- want to plan a range day once it cools down a bit. Ammo seemed to be relatively available in the recent past- but now it hard to find again. Don't know what is going on? But have been hearing stories on the net about UPS losing ammo shipments? Afraid if i order some and it gets lost- may be a long while before i can get reimbursed?
I want to go to the outdoor range so I can move around and shoot from different angles. The indoor range is just too restrictive and very unpleasant.
Anyway........stay safe fellows and stay in the shade!
Good evening……. Day off ….. relaxing day here…. Did nothing but lay around all day …. Did some house cleaning yesterday …. Need to hit up grocery store for a few things tomorrow after work and do some more straightening up around here….. at least the temps have been dropping here as well, I did run the ac for a few hours today…. But not needed tonight.
Morning......well we will go pick up #2 g/k shortly for the day. And that will be the last one...she starts school tomorrow.
In other news- it's not raining! Hope it stays that way. I do know we will have a high temp drop of 14 degrees over the next 5 days.....looks like we will go down to the low 80's for a while. Then will stay low to mid 80. I'm ready for that...and I know my 17 year old A/C will be happy! I am definitely ready for the coool.
Morning..........home alone.....it's peaceful too.
High today 91....will be the last day in the 90's for the rest of the month. Slight rain chance this evening. Come on cool weather! This has been a rough summer.
Want to plan a range trip soon. Dang 380 ammo is difficult to find. Picked up 2 boxes of Blazer Brass yesterday at Bass Pro- $62....that's just ridiculous. I'll eventually stock up again.
Not much else happening around here....
Evening...mostly drizzle most of the day but got the BP in & was able to just finish a wonderful Oliva MB III Churchill Maduro in a 2 hr - 15-minute gar session while it was a nice 73 deg F instead of 98 this late at night while watching a ballgame on the laptop...bring on Fall weather!
Morning...will be a nice day with the temp staying below 90...lunch today with some teammates & play a little cornhole - wife will receive my order of Oliva MB 3 Churchill maduros that will arrive around the lunch hour...
