Morning- looks like a gorgeous day on the way. "I-9" wow- that is a high power. We are still running I-5's.
When Agatha needs a new one- we buy new, but for me- I go to the used store or look on ebay....cause I'm gonna load linux on it anyway.
Lots of crazy stuff going on out there- folks running the police off and taking over towns. Schools teaching young kids krap that they shouldn't. I do not know what it will take to turn this country around- but we are in trouble. By time Biden goes out- I don't know if there will be any law and order left anywhere. And heck- we may get another idiot! I'm thankful that I live where I do. Mobile is far from good, but its nothing like some of the larger cities. I do live out in a more rural community to the sw of the city. So- crime is not much here. But a few miles to the east and I am in it. Oh well.....just kinda disgusted with it all.
Need to work in another range trip- was not satisfied with last one. And really kinda tired of my Ruger LCP Max. Think I'll box it up and pull my CT 380 back out again. About the same size and wt, but 3 less rounds. And an 'easier on my finger' trigger pull. Can't wait to see the new kahrs- wish they would come on with it.
Oh well- I'll survive... enjoy the day!

Morning....another pretty day ahead. My puter was conscripted yesterday- so I didn't ck in. Hitting it earlier this morn before the g/k takes over.
Not much going on here- Mardi Gras finished up last night. All the Catholics are in church this morning doing confession, and getting ashes put on their face. They will be clean for another year! Hey- I'm okay with it...if it works for them- go for it. I'm Baptist- we catch hell any time we go to church! Aw well- just poking a little fun.
Nothing going on around here- will have termite inspection this afternoon. They just do it yearly now. Hope they are not over-confident!
Enjoy the day..........

Morning......cloudy/overcast out there. Looks like 1 little wave out there about 50 miles to the west- might get a shower out of that, although no rain predicted. No plans today- still have #2 g/k...and she will be wanting my computer soon. Thankfully she goes back to school soon- I think in less than 2 weeks?
Man there sure seems to be a lot of killing in the news- all over the place. Had one last night across the bay- a man killed his whole family. Haven't heard the whole story on that- but gee whiz....? There is something definitely rotten in Denmark!
Seems to be popping up everywhere. BOLO.......

Morning...31 headed to 37...fired up an old 250 GB Maxtor HDD in a IDE to USB enclosure in a powered USB hub & got a loud pop from somewhere as it was spinning up...no smoke, smell coming from the tower or other component issues...thought it might be a capacitor in the Corsair 850w power supply but not seeing any boot or other issues - yet...time will tell...

Update: my big tower is still running normal with no issues including the old HDD in the external enclosure & no additional heat - overclocked CPU still running a cool 82 - 86 deg. F & no detected additional heat from the PSU...dusted out the tower & inspected the motherboard for any signs of damage & found none...the only other thing I can think of is the possibility of some feedback that came through my right speaker that were turned on which is about 10" away from the full tower but there was no other input to the speakers at that time...I spec'd & overbuilt my i7 rig about 12 years ago with the only update needed was to replace my SSD with a much larger SSD boot drive - data is shelled out to a 2 TB mechanical HDD - probably won't build another desktop like others I've done including my wife's 12 year old i5 tower which also can't run Win 11 either - she doesn't want a laptop based system even configured to run a large monitor, full keyboard, wireless mouse, etc. on my network...

The build is complete on my new 17" laptop & should have it early next week...may just build around it to handle future needs...unless I can get my wife to use it in a year or so & I can get another one... :)

Morning while it's still morning. First chance to get on my puter today. Had the #2 g/k most of the week- she goes home tomorrow. She likes my computer! Oh well-
It's tried to rain a couple times today- lots of rain to the north. Maybe we'll pull through without it.
Wow Bill- sounds like something didn't want to move. I've been on the same puter for a while now. Have an old Dell Optiplex 7010 sitting in the corner. Agatha got it from a friend whose husband passed a couple years ago. May try to use it someday?.....if my old HP crashes. Agatha uses those tiny little laptops-I just can't do it. I like a big keyboard and a large screen- with a mouse.....can't stand those touchscreen things.
Oh well- nothing happening around here.....just chillin'.

Morning......home alone- just me and my coffee....and puter! #2 g/k went home last night. We'll probably do some running around today with the g/k gone. She starts school in 2 weeks....thank goodness. I'm nearly worn out. Anyway......things should eventually get back to normal.
Kinda cloudy out- but no rain in sight.
Anxious to see what Kahr is going to do. Kinda wish they hadn't let the word out as soon as they did. The wait sucks... oh well you know how that goes. Have a good day......

Morning......pretty day out. Just ran out to pick up a newspaper. Last night's run was the last Mobile Press to be printed- they started in 1813- and end in 2023. We haven't had a paper in years- but Agatha wanted the last one. Gosh- they are $5 now!
Think? we are going out to town today- Agatha planted that seed yesterday- but she seems to be dragging around a bit.
Think she wants to go to Best Buy to look at something for the tv- like a Roku or something like that? We cut out our cable- just have internet now, so need something to pick up streaming services? Oh well- we'll figure it out.
No other plans....just wait on next week......and watch the crazy news
