Got the wrong pic but the Smith wont go away! !! I think its calling out to me..
They always do.......
My review of the p22p while I still remember. Hadn't planned on getting one so I hadn't read up on them.

Loaded the first mag with federal bulk., it run fine, the second mag didn't!!! Some wouldn't even cock the hammer. You know I did think on the first mag how easy shooting it was, hardly any recoil at tall.

Run in the house and grabbed some American eagle, they were much better but far from 100%
Part two have a problem with long posts on my phone.
After t shot the American eagle I was too lazy to go all the way back inside the house so I grabbed some rem golden stuff that had been in the door of my truck for 6 years!!! Almost threw them away a few times, my 22-45 will only shoot them fresh. Think these were out of the first box of 22 we found after the 08 run.

The rem run perfect as well as the few stingers I had.

The pistol was nice, not sorry I bought it, won't miss it. Really I can't say anythink about its accurate, but....
Another good shooting, ammo fussy gun. And it's a 22. Who would have thought.
I'm not crazy about plastic guns, but I bought one of these. What sold me was the external hammer. My two Kahr's are the only internal strikers I own.

My Dirty Harry favorite .22's are the S&W 17-6 with target grips and that heavy full 6" full barrel ejection shroud/barrel lug. Second would be the Ruger Mark I & II's. They are just fun and the older ones are really well made.

My next is my Ruger single six convertable. I have a special edition Stainless 5 1/2" with flat sights, the old Colt Army look.

But the Walther was a surprise. Very comfortable to shoot and not as accurate as my S&W, but it holds a decent group at 25-50 feet. I will say that you need hot ammo to make it run right. I tried the Remington

bulk ammo and it just didn't cycle. But with a diet of CCI mini mags and especially Stingers, it never gave a single problem. With a full load of Stingers or Velocitors, I would trust it as a nice back up CC gun. If you

can find one close to $300, it's a nice Walther. I've actually seen a few private sales of them because of the lack of ammo availability.

Off the subject, have you noticed how many new model .22's are being offered during the shortage of .22lr's?

Yeah they make them look like their big brothers, they are priced right and cheap to shoot when ammo is available. I like the Ruger MK ll's had a couple on years past........your right well made and good shooters........
Armslist is flooded with 22's....:abnormal:

I kinda wanted a pt22 poly but I think this will do.

I had thought about the sr22 but after looking at the internals on some you tube vedios and seeing how close it was to the p22 and the slightly smaller size of the p22 I was leaning towards it..

Trying to decide on what style holster to make for it! Been looking at lots of holster pics.

First off, a James Bond pistol needs a shoulder holster, come on, you know that you like that idea! :glee:

When the P22 first came out I gave some serious consideration to buying one, then I started to hear about some little problems showing up, so passed on it. It's been some time now but, yours looks to be a newer, improved version, yes?

You're causing me to start to want one of those again or, at least check one out!

I still think that a James Bond holster is what you need/want!! :triumphant::triumphant::triumphant:

I took it apart... two of the springs I couldn't feel with my fingers...

Got the trigger bar ears rounded over and spread apart some so they engage more of the ramps. Already got a dent in them from the square corners...

Got the stove bolts thread locked also. They were both loose...

I need a new trigger spring... pivoting the trigger out of the way to sand the bar on my belt sander over wound the spring.... I tweaked it back and it's working for now.

Oh man that spring for the lock was small.. it was loose in its spot, I spread it open some, made it twice as hard to put back

Oh, I understand how it works, I have never owned a gun that didn't need at least a "little" tweak or two!
