Greetings all! New to this forum, retired L/E from Ca and don't miss either. Just purchased a Thompson/Kahr 1911 Auto-ordnance 45 in the Army version. Olive drab green with wood grips. Had the sere customized along with the tang, hammer and trigger. Great gun after I dumped the stock mags.

I was in Michigan National Guard 1960 - 1963, 6 months active duty in Fort Bliss, Texas. I was missile launcher crewman at Nike Ajax site. After 3 years in the guard I transferred to active Army reserves. I had 2 daughters at the time or I probably would have gone to Viet-Nam. I never left the states. That dates me. I am 76.
