I tried a few months back to get my MK9 into Kahr to have the fading nights sights replaced. They didn't have any in stock at the time, didn't have any idea when they would, and estimated that my slide would be with them for 30 days or so. I politely declined to send it in given that they had no idea when they would get any in stock. I looked again a few days ago and now I don't even see any on their site.
I have 3 sight pushers, two of which are made for Berettas and one that is a generic that works very well on Glocks. What are the chances that I could get one of these to push the sights out of my MK9 and push a new set in if I could find a set of sights for it? I've always been under the impression that Kahr pistols (at least the older ones), were made with sights so tightly fitted that as often as not, even competent gunsmiths might run into problems and the risk of damaging the finish on the slide was high. My MK is an Elite 2000 in black robar of which I believe only 69 or so were made. I'd hate to end up with a marred slide on it.
